Javascript is a scripting language commonly used to manipulate the HTML DOM (Document Object Model) within a web browser.
I have used javascript on many occasions for small tasks that enhance websites. This includes: event handling (image swapping on mouse actions), form validation and automated fill-in/submission, managing windows (documents, targets) and cookies.
